The Petchaboon City Pillar Shrine is located at the middle of the town, opposite the old city hall of Petchaboon. It is stone pillar that Damrong Rajanubhab brought from Sri Thep town in 1904. Phra Puttha Mahathammaracha
Phra Puttha Mahathammaracha is the important respectable image of Buddha of Petchaboon, called by villagers as “Phra Yai” (The meaning of Yai is Big) because Buddha image is the biggest in the world. The size is 11.984 in width, 16.5899 in height and hefty weight of 45 Tons. Phra Puttha Mahathammaracha was made of pure brass, on King Phumipol Adulyadej’s 84th birthday in 2011 and Pra Kate (the sharp peak of Buddha image) contains Lord Buddha’s relics.
